Wandering Spirits Cocktail Series: "Absinthe-Minded"

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to make it in for one of The Lakely’s wildly popular Wandering Spirits series events. But if not, here is a great chance to give it a shot! This month, Lakely Manager Jorja Vradenburg and Head Bartender Logan Slaght will be giving a detailed presentation on one of more storied and mysterious spirits out there: absinthe. From its creation in Switzerland in the 18^th century to its sordid reputation in late-19^th-century France to its subsequent ban in many places around the globe in the 20^th century, absinthe has a fascinating and turbulent history without equal in the spirits world. Participants will have a chance taste a variety of modern versions of absinthe from around the globe as well as sample cocktails in which it is employed. And of course, no study of absinthe would be complete without a presentation of the classic absinthe “drip”. Come see what all the fuss is/was about!!

Class is $20 per person and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Tickets are available online here or purchased at the door. Wandering Spirits classes can sell out, so be sure to buy a ticket in advance to secure your spot.
